WeylChem is investing 15m euros to boost Glyoxal production in Lamotte, reducing the site's carbon footprint by 20%. The new plant will start in early 2024, supported by the French State and ADEME.

The new plant in Lamotte enhances flexibility and capacity for complex molecule synthesis with advanced automation. It includes upgraded equipment for high-temperature and high-pressure operations.

The Bilbao plant, using advanced tech and co-generation, produces sulphuric acid (80%-98%) and oleum. It sources sulphur from refineries and generates steam for electricity production.

The new facility will enhance side-chain chlorination, boost capacity, and support sustainability by refining by-products, reducing waste, and meeting European demand for resilient supply chains.

WeylChem is upgrading its Frankfurt Fechenheim plant to enhance its HALEX technology, driven by customer demand. The new plant will be operational in H2 2021, alongside a new SAP S/4 Hana system.
