News, data, and intelligence on the chemical industry
chemXplore is a news, data, and intelligence platform for professionals who follow the chemical industry. We track construction and expansion projects, plant changes, mergers and acquisitions, and operational shifts across the industry worldwide, and turn information that is normally scattered across hundreds of sources into something you can search, follow, and act on.
chemXplore was built by people who lived the problem. Cees Verhagen and Corné Verbruggen founded Darueber BV in 2013 as a specialist consultancy for the chemical industry. Working close to the sector's data day to day, they kept running into the same gap: the information that mattered was real, but scattered, unstructured, and hard to follow. In 2024 they launched chemXplore as a standalone product to close it, and have kept developing it actively ever since.
More than a decade of working in and around the industry sits behind the product. That history shapes what we track, how we structure it, and which developments we judge worth surfacing.
Everything runs on the same structured data. Much of our website is open to anyone — a large body of news, plus overviews and insights, free to browse. Three subscriptions go further: start free with the Weekly newsletter, and step up to Focus and Alpha when you need to follow and research the industry in more depth.
A free newsletter sent every Wednesday, summarising the week's key developments across the industry. The simplest way to follow the sector, and to see how we work. Learn more →
Personalised news search alerts. Tell us what matters to you, and get notified when relevant news appears — without watching the feed yourself. Learn more →
Our full research platform. Search and analyse plants, projects, substances, companies, parks, and news in one place, with maps, filters, and alerts. Learn more →
We monitor hundreds of sources across the industry and read what they publish. Relevant items are structured into a consistent model — linked to the companies, plants, projects, substances, and locations they concern — and organised through a taxonomy of sectors, topics, substances, and news types. That structure is what turns a stream of announcements into something you can search and follow.
The same structured data underpins every product, from the Weekly newsletter to the Alpha research platform.
