New Rubber Lab Investment

Rain Carbon Inc. has opened a $1.3 million state-of-the-art rubber lab at its Duisburg, Germany facility. The lab features a complete processing line, including a rubber bale cutter, an advanced lab station for internal mixing, and cutting-edge rubber-process and dynamic-mechanical analyzers.

Enhanced Technical Services

This investment aims to significantly improve Rain Carbon's technical services and targeted product development for the rubber industry. The new lab will allow the company to conduct in-house testing, which was previously outsourced to third-party labs, thereby enhancing internal knowledge and technical relationships.

Production and Performance

Rain Carbon produces approximately 10,000 tons of performance resins annually for the rubber industry. These resins are designed to improve grip and reduce rolling resistance in tire compounds, as well as enhance the mechanical dynamic properties of technical rubber articles.

Improved Customer Relationships

With the new lab, Rain Carbon can now provide detailed performance data to customers, fostering stronger technical relationships. The ability to conduct in-house testing will improve the company's understanding of the link between resin structure and performance, allowing them to better meet customer needs.

Future Developments

The lab will enable Rain Carbon to develop new products aimed at creating safer tires and better fuel economy. This advancement is expected to be beneficial for both the company and its customers, enhancing overall product quality and performance.
