New Facility in Antwerp

Bolder Industries is establishing its first European facility at the NextGen District in the Port of Antwerp, Belgium. This move is part of their global expansion strategy to meet the rising demand for sustainable raw materials in the tire, rubber, plastics, and chemical manufacturing sectors. The facility is expected to begin commercial operations in 2024.

Strategic Partnerships

Bolder Industries has partnered with Antea Group, Cyclops, and OSQB to ensure the successful development and operation of the new facility. Antea Group played a crucial role in selecting the location and will assist with the permitting process. Cyclops will manage the project, leveraging their expertise in industrial recycling facilities. OSQB will handle the architectural and engineering aspects of the site.

Production and Environmental Impact

The Antwerp facility will be modeled after Bolder's successful U.S. plants and will house three reactors capable of processing over 3 million end-of-life tires annually. This will significantly increase the production of BolderBlack® and BolderOil™, addressing the growing market demand for sustainable materials. The facility aims to reduce environmental impact by using 98% less CO2 and 85% less water and energy compared to traditional methods, while utilizing 98% of each scrap tire.

Location Advantages

The Port of Antwerp was chosen for its commitment to sustainability, access to multimodal transport options, and proximity to Bolder's expanding client base. The location near Europe's largest petrochemical cluster offers strategic advantages for distribution and collaboration with other circular economy organizations.
