Port of Antwerp-Bruges

About Port of Antwerp-Bruges

Port of Antwerp-Bruges is the unified port authority operating the seaports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge in Belgium. Formed in 2022, it manages one of Europe’s largest maritime gateways for containers, liquid bulk, dry bulk, and breakbulk, with deep-sea, inland waterway, rail, road, and pipeline connectivity across Northwest Europe.

The port hosts Europe’s largest integrated petrochemical cluster around Antwerp, comprising refineries, steam crackers, chemical production sites, tank storage, and an extensive pipeline network linking industrial regions in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. It is a key hub for the movement of crude oil, refined products, chemicals, LNG/LPG, and industrial gases, supporting both global trade and regional supply chains.

As a public port authority, Port of Antwerp-Bruges develops and maintains marine access, terminals, industrial land, utilities, and safety and environmental frameworks for operators on its platform. It is also advancing energy-transition infrastructure, including alternative fuels, hydrogen carriers, carbon capture and transport logistics, and industrial heat integration, to support the decarbonization and competitiveness of the port-based chemical and industrial ecosystem.
