Cooperation Agreement
Vision Energy Corporation has entered into a cooperation agreement with Linde Engineering to accelerate engineering efforts for the Green Energy Terminal in the North Sea Port of Vlissingen, the Netherlands. The agreement focuses on delivering preliminary Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) services for Phase 1 of the project.
Project Scope
The scope of the project includes the design and engineering of 150,000 cubic meters (CBM) of Green Ammonia storage, truck and barge loading facilities, ship loading and unloading facilities, and associated utilities, infrastructure, and buildings. The total capacity under Phase 1 is up to 400,000 CBM, with allocations for Green Ammonia, Renewable Methanol, and Biofuels.
Timeline and Milestones
Engineering efforts under the agreement have already commenced and are expected to conclude by April 2023. Vision Energy aims to reach the Final Investment Decision (FID) by Q3 2023. The company is also scheduled to file all remaining environmental and construction permits by December 2022.
Strategic Importance
Vision Energy is in advanced stages of planning for the construction and delivery of Northwestern Europe’s first import, storage, and handling terminal designed exclusively for hydrogen carriers, renewable energy products, and low-carbon fuels. This project is expected to play a significant role in advancing the energy transition and supporting Northwestern Europe’s ambition to achieve Net Zero through carbon-abatement and the adoption of hydrogen as a core feedstock and fuel.
