Europe's chemical industry is advancing decarbonization through green hydrogen, methane-splitting, and low-carbon projects in Germany, Finland, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

The project will produce low-carbon hydrogen with CO2 capture and storage, aiming for 95% CO2 capture. Production starts in 2029, connecting to hydrogen pipelines in the Netherlands and Germany.

The world's first industrial-scale CCU facility in a cement plant will start in 2025, capturing 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually for reuse in manufacturing, supported by €15 million in German government funding.

They've signed an agreement to accelerate engineering for a Green Energy Terminal in Vlissingen, focusing on hydrogen carriers, renewable energy, and low-carbon fuels, aiming for completion by Q3 2023.

The plant will use 6 MW of renewable energy to cut CO2 emissions by 90%. Funded by the German government, it aims to start in 2023, testing direct and indirect electric heating methods.

A new hydrogen liquefier will double liquid hydrogen production capacity in Leuna by 2021, addressing Europe's growing hydrogen demand and supporting its use in transport.

Linde will build a hydrogen plant at Nynas' Hamburg refinery, boosting NSP production by 40%. The facility, operational by Q4 2015, will also serve other hydrogen customers in the area.

A new two-stage process uses high-temperature technology to convert natural gas into hydrogen and syngas, reducing CO2 emissions by 50%. The project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

A £600,000 grant will upgrade facilities, improve efficiency, and reduce emissions. The project protects 40 jobs and supports local businesses, aligning with regional green initiatives.
