Petrobras Q2 2026 own production reaches 3.34 MMboed

Production overview

In 2Q26 Petrobras' own production of oil, NGL and natural gas averaged 3.34 million boed, a 14.1% increase versus 2Q25 and 3.4% above 1Q26. Growth resulted from higher operational efficiency, maintenance and integrity investments, the ramp‑up of FPSOs Maria Quitéria, Alexandre de Gusmão and P‑78, and the start‑up of FPSO P‑79, partially offset by the natural decline of mature fields. Ten new producing wells entered service in the quarter (4 in Campos, 6 in Santos).

Búzios and Mero performance

Búzios platforms posted record averages of 1.1 MM bpd on 23 June and 1.2 MM bpd on 26 June; June marked the first monthly average above 1 MM bpd, 8.2 years after start of the field's definitive production systems. P‑79 began production on 1 May 2026, three months ahead of the 2026–2030 Business Plan and five months ahead of the prior plan; the unit adds 180 mbpd capacity and 7.2 MM m³/d gas compression, raising Búzios installed capacity to roughly 1.33 MM bpd. Mero averaged about 740 mbpd in the quarter with high operational efficiency.

Refining, transport and marketing

The Refinery Utilization Factor reached a quarterly record of 101.2% (102.5% in April and May), supporting expanded domestic supply and the lowest quarterly derivative imports at 67 mbpd. Derivative production rose to 1,918 mbpd (+5.6% qoq, +10.9% yoy), with S10 diesel and QAV records (509 mbpd and 109 mbpd). Pre‑salt oil composed 73% of refinery load. Co‑processed SAF production at REDUC totaled 6.1 thousand m³ with CORSIA certification.

Records and trade flows

Total operated production reached a record 4.87 MM boed and total own pre‑salt production was 2.78 MM boed. Exports neared 1 MM bpd while oil imports fell to 89 mbpd, the lowest level since the pandemic. Additional highlights included FPSO Almirante Tamandaré's monthly oil production of 253 mbpd in June and the highest monthly Podium gasoline sales in May (12.49 million liters).
