Baerlocher Breaks Ground on New Production Site in Turkey

Groundbreaking Ceremony

The Baerlocher Group of Companies held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new production site in Akhisar, located approximately 100 kilometers northeast of Izmir. The event was attended by key figures including Mustafa Ataman, Managing Director of Baerlocher Turkey, and Bekir Ergün, Technical Director of Baerlocher Turkey. They welcomed Arne Schulle, CEO of Baerlocher Group, and other team members responsible for the project.

Project Updates

Project manager Ugur Akay from Vercon and civil engineer Volkan Alabas from KSC provided updates on the project's status and guided participants through the construction site. Arne Schulle thanked everyone involved for adhering to deadlines and ensuring smooth project implementation.

Community Engagement

At the end of the ceremony, team members planted pine trees at the construction site. The day also included a reception at the Akhisar town hall, where the Baerlocher delegation was welcomed by local officials including Governor Kaan Peker and Mayor Salih Hizli. Governor Peker acknowledged the significant investment by Baerlocher, which aims to strengthen the district.

Production and Capacity

The new plant is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2014. It is designed to produce 40,000 tons of one-pack systems for conventional and calcium-based stabilizers. Additionally, the facility will feature a state-of-the-art technical applications laboratory to support its operations.
