Investment Announcement
OCI N.V. (Euronext: OCI), BioMCN’s parent company, has announced a significant investment of €100 million to refurbish the second methanol production line at BioMCN, located at Chemical Park Delfzijl.
Job Creation
The refurbishment project is expected to create approximately 30 new permanent jobs at the site. Additionally, several hundred indirect jobs will be generated during the refurbishment phase.
Production Capacity
Once operational, the refurbished production line will have the capacity to produce 438,000 tons of methanol per year. This will nearly double BioMCN’s current production capacity.
Timeline
The plant is scheduled to start commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2018.
