Investment and Infrastructure

Moeve and Exolum, in collaboration with the Port Authority of Huelva, are investing €299 million in new infrastructure at the Port of Huelva. This development aims to enhance operational capabilities and support the new 2G biofuel plant at the La Rábida Energy Park in Palos de la Frontera.

Muelle Sur Project

The Muelle Sur project involves constructing a new terminal for energy products in the Outer Port of Huelva. It includes a 511-meter-long berthing dock to modernize logistics infrastructure and optimize ship loading and unloading operations. This facility will be crucial for Moeve's decarbonization strategy, serving as a primary entry and exit point for raw materials and products.

Poliducto Project

The Poliducto project replaces the existing pipeline system connecting the Energy Park and Exolum to the Torre Arenillas dock. The new 5 km pipeline will increase capacity, improve operational safety, and provide greater flexibility within the facilities.

Strategic Importance

These projects align with the industrial policy of the Junta de Andalucía, focusing on decarbonization and energy transition. The infrastructure improvements are expected to drive economic development and enhance the region's industrial capabilities.

Future Developments

The 2G biofuels plant, with an investment of over €1 billion, will increase Moeve's production capacity to 1.6 million tons per year. Scheduled to be operational by 2026, this plant will play a key role in the transition to sustainable energy.
