Maire Tecnimont to Provide Engineering Services for Kazanorgsintez EVA Project in Kazan, Russia

Suit of contracts was signed in Milan in attendance of General Director of Kazanorgsintez PJSC Farid Minigulov and CEO of Maire Tecnimont Pierroberto Folgiero. Main contract was concluded based on EP (Engineering & Procurement) terms and open-book concept.

The project provides for the construction of new LDPE\EVA plant with annual capacity of 100,000 tons. Total estimated value of the EP contract amounts to EUR 130 million. Approximate project deadline is 40 months after signing the contract.

Works will be performed by subsidiaries of Maire Tecnimont S.p.A.: Tecnimont Planung & Industrieanlagenbau GmbH (Germany) and OOO MT Russiya, the company’s Moscow operating center.

New LDPE/EVA project is based on technology developed by the Japanese Sumitomo Chemical. License agreement was signed earlier, in February 2021.

Construction of LDPE/EVA facilities is not the first cooperation experience between Kazanorgsintez PJSC and Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. In April 2021, the companies signed MOU on codevelopment of new biodegradable polymers facility in the Republic of Tatarstan.
