Capacity Expansion
Additional capacity improvements are scheduled for 2017 at INVISTA’s Terate® and TERRIN™ polyols manufacturing facility in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. These upgrades build on the success of the 2016 capacity and efficiency investments, allowing INVISTA to meet the growing demand for its polyols throughout Europe.
Product Enhancements
Terate® aromatic polyester polyols offer formulation flexibility for achieving various physical and flammability properties required in polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams. The next-generation Terate® HT polyols provide advances in burn performance, ease of processing, and efficiency in rigid foam manufacture. These products are used in applications such as flex-faced boardstock, metal-faced sandwich panels, spray foam, and bunstock foam.
Sustainable Solutions
TERRIN™ polyols are cost-effective, aliphatic polyester polyols containing a minimum of 50 percent recycled content. They are prepared from glycols, including diethylene glycol and bio-based renewable glycerol, and a mixture of recycled carboxylic acid-functional monomers. These versatile polyols are used in applications ranging from viscoelastic foam to spray coatings, adhesives, and elastomeric resins.
Global Production
In addition to the Vlissingen site, INVISTA produces Terate® and TERRIN™ polyols at its U.S. facility in Wilmington, N.C., which serves the North and South American markets.
