Production Expansion
INVISTA has expanded the production of its TERRIN™ polyols to Europe, utilizing its facility in Vlissingen, The Netherlands. The site began producing commercial TERRIN™ polyols in late 2014 and has completed the necessary requirements for REACH registration in Europe.
Sustainable Content
TERRIN™ aliphatic polyester polyols contain a minimum of 50 percent recycled content, with some variants also including renewable content. These polyols can be used alone or in combination with conventional polyether or polyester polyols to create various polyurethane products.
Applications and Collaborations
INVISTA is collaborating with formulators to explore new applications for TERRIN™ polyols, including high resilience foams, spray coatings, adhesives, elastomeric resins, and viscoelastic foams.
Exhibition and Technical Presentation
INVISTA will showcase TERRIN™ polyols, Terate® polyols, and TERATHANE® glycols at the Urethanes Technology Europe exhibition, taking place from April 14-16 at the MECC in Maastricht, The Netherlands. A technical presentation on TERRIN™ polyols and their performance in high-resilience foams will be given by INVISTA Technical Fellow, Dr. Richard P. Beatty.
Global Production
In addition to the Vlissingen site, INVISTA also produces aliphatic (TERRIN™) and aromatic (Terate®) polyols at its facility in Wilmington, North Carolina, serving the North and South American markets.
