ITM Power reports successful production and delivery of initial quantities of green hydrogen from RWE’s electrolysis plant in Lingen as part of the GET H2 Nukleus project.

Production and transport

Green hydrogen has been produced at Lingen and transported via approximately 120 km of hydrogen pipeline infrastructure for usage at Evonik’s chemical park in Marl, demonstrating integration of large-scale hydrogen production, transport and industrial offtake.

Next steps

The project is undergoing continued commissioning and ramp-up towards full 200 MW commercial operation. Dennis Schulz, CEO of ITM Power, described the outcome as “a landmark achievement for the hydrogen industry” and said the company looks forward to supporting the ramp-up.
