RWE's 300-MW green hydrogen project in Lingen progresses with a new 100-MW electrolyser from Sunfire and integration by Bilfinger, set for completion by 2027.

Germany grants over €619M for hydrogen projects, including a 300-MW electrolyser in Lingen and a 100-MW plant in Rostock. Federal and state governments cover 70% and 30% of funding, respectively.

Lingen is now a key site for hydrogen production and application, leveraging its energy infrastructure and resources to support the green hydrogen economy and climate targets.

A hydrogen-ready gas turbine with 800 MW capacity is planned in Werne, Germany, aiming for completion by 2030. An Italian-Spanish consortium is handling the planning.

The project will produce up to 3.6 tonnes of hydrogen per hour by 2029, aiding decarbonisation and supporting Scotland's net zero goals. Initial capacity is 200MWe, with potential expansion to 600MWe.

The GET H2 Nukleus project aims to establish Germany's first public hydrogen network. EU funding is sought to support green hydrogen production, crucial for meeting climate targets and economic viability.

A feasibility study for a 100 MW green hydrogen plant in Groningen is underway, leveraging wind energy and aiming to support CO2 reduction in transport, heat supply, and industry.
