Sunfire

About Sunfire

Sunfire is a German energy technology company that develops and manufactures industrial electrolyzers for the production of renewable hydrogen and synthesis gas. Its solutions are used by sectors such as chemicals, refining, and steel to replace fossil-based hydrogen and enable low-carbon feedstocks for processes like ammonia and methanol production, as well as e-fuels.

The company’s portfolio includes high-temperature solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC), which uses steam and industrial heat to achieve high electrical efficiency, and large-scale alkaline electrolyzers suited to continuous operation. Sunfire’s systems integrate with renewable power and existing plant utilities, supporting on-site hydrogen generation and Power-to-X applications.

Headquartered in Dresden, Germany, Sunfire works with industrial partners to deploy multi-megawatt projects and scale green hydrogen supply across Europe and beyond.
