Project Overview

The plant for the production of sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate was planned and constructed by EPC Engineering & Technologies GmbH. It was successfully commissioned in June 2019 after a two-year planning and construction period. By September 2019, the plant was handed over to the customer, JSC Volzhsky Orgsynthese.

Production Capacity

Located in Volzsky, Russia, the plant has an annual production capacity of up to 19,230 tons of sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate (C5H10NS2Na). This chemical is primarily used in ore mines for the extraction of nickel and other heavy metals.

Technology and Environmental Standards

The plant utilizes the variCARBAMATE technology, developed and patented by EPC Engineering & Technologies GmbH. This technology enables continuous production of carbamates in an environmentally friendly, economical, and reliable manner. The plant meets high environmental standards, particularly in emissions and effluence.

Project Scope

EPC served as the general contractor, delivering a turnkey plant. The project scope included initial consultation, laboratory and pilot plant trials, comprehensive engineering, project management, and commissioning phases.
