In the presence of Xavier Bertrand, President of the Hauts-de-France Region, and CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique, Danone unveiled its "Steenvoorde 2026" project, demonstrating its ambitions in medical nutrition to boost growth. By March 2026, the Steenvoorde site in France will host Danone's first medical nutrition production line in France and a biomass boiler to reduce environmental impact.

With an initial €60 million investment, Danone will produce nearly 20 million liters of oral nutritional supplements, 30 recipes, and 115 references for its NUTRICIA brand. This will support existing productions in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, and align with Danone's mission to bring health through food.

A further €10 million will fund a biomass boiler, cutting the site's carbon footprint by nearly 70%. Danone's investments are supported by the Banque Publique d'Investissement (BPI), ADEME, the Hauts-de-France Region, and the Community of Communes of Flandre Intérieure.
