The new sodium hypochlorite factory is situated in the Free Trade Zone at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife port fishing dock. The construction of the facility required an investment of 6 million euros and took nine months to complete.
Production Capacity
The plant is designed to produce over 27,000 tons of sodium hypochlorite annually. Currently, it operates at 66% of its capacity, supplying around 17,000 tons per year.
Technology
The chlorine used in the production process is generated through cell membrane electrolysis. This method is considered the best available technique for this activity, offering innovative and energy-efficient technology.
