Ercros Cuts CO2 Emissions by 38% in Four Years

Between 2020 and 2024, Ercros achieved a 38% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, both direct and indirect from energy consumption. The total emissions index, which includes air and water pollutants and waste generation, decreased by 9% during the same period. These improvements are attributed to the company's 3D Plan initiatives.

Logistics and Sustainability

In 2024, logistics measures aimed at promoting a circular economy and decarbonization helped avoid 8,580 tonnes of CO2 emissions, marking a 59% increase over 2023. Ercros' production centers are equipped with a certified sustainability management system, accredited by ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, with 98% of energy consumption covered by ISO 50001 certification.

Safety Improvements

The general accident frequency index, which includes accidents with and without sick leave for both internal and external personnel, fell by 22% in 2024 compared to 2023. The frequency index for accidents involving only company personnel decreased by 8.5% over the last year.

Sustainability Ratings

In 2024, Ercros maintained its EcoVadis Platinum seal for the fifth consecutive year, scoring 87 out of 100 points. The company also completed the Carbon Disclosure Project questionnaire, earning a "B" (Management) rating. Additionally, Ercros improved its ESG Rating from the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts, scoring 86 out of 100, up from 80 in 2023.
