Project Overview
The construction of Poligal's new plant in Skarbimierz, Poland, commenced in January. Located in the Skarbimierz special economic zone, 30 km from Wrocław, the plant will initially house an 8.7m wide Brückner 5 layer BOPP extrusion line and metallization capacity.
Installation and Timeline
According to plant director Krzysztof Marcisz, the first elements of the Brückner line have been arriving on site since the end of May. The installation and trial runs are scheduled to be completed by the last quarter of the year. Production is expected to start in early 2017.
Recruitment and Training
Simultaneously with the construction and installation, Poligal is progressing with recruitment and training programs at other locations. The goal is to build a team of high-class specialists for the new plant.
Production Capabilities
The Skarbimierz plant will produce a variety of standard BOPP film grades, including transparent, white, matt, and metallized films. Some specialty and custom films will continue to be produced at Poligal's plant in Spain.
