Investment and New Plant
Poligal has announced a 30 million Euro investment for a new BOPP extrusion line in Poland. The plant will be located in Skarbimierz, 60 km south of Wrocław, and will initially include an 8.7m wide 5-layer Brückner BOPP extrusion line with a production capacity of 40,000 TPA of BOPP film. The line is expected to be fully operational by Q3 2016.
Strategic Location
The chosen location allows Poligal to be close to its clients, offering quick reaction times and top service demanded by the European market. Being only 2 hours away from Germany and at the heart of the fast-growing flexible packaging market in Poland, the location is strategic for Poligal's operations.
Future Expansion
Further investment options to add metallization capacity to the plant are currently under consideration. This new line will enhance Poligal's competitiveness in product segments like label films and strengthen its capabilities in developing films for specialty applications.
Operational Synergy
The new plant will provide strong European-wide coverage and full production backup with existing plants in Spain and Portugal. This investment is a key part of Poligal's strategic plan for 2012-2016, focusing on growth, internationalization, and technology development.
Additional Projects
Poligal is also progressing with a new CPP extrusion 4.8m wide Reifenhäuser line in its plant in Portugal, expected to be fully operational by June 2015.
