Investment Overview
CABB's Business Unit Custom Manufacturing is advancing its growth strategy with a €10 million investment in its multi-purpose plants in Kokkola, Finland, and Pratteln, Switzerland. The Kokkola plant has received €8 million for expanding solid isolation capabilities and reactor capacities. Additionally, over €2 million is being invested in debottlenecking the solid isolation capabilities at the Pratteln plant. Both projects are scheduled for completion within 2012.
Production Focus
The Business Unit Custom Manufacturing primarily produces agrochemicals and intermediates for agrochemical, pharmaceutical, and specialty applications at its Swiss and Finnish sites. The expansion and debottlenecking efforts are driven by the increasing demand for agrochemicals and other customized products.
Strategic Acquisition
In August 2011, CABB acquired KemFine Oy. By the end of 2011, the custom manufacturing activities of KemFine Oy in Finland and CABB AG in Switzerland were merged, forming the Business Unit Custom Manufacturing. These changes aim to meet the growing demands of top-tier customers and strengthen CABB's position as a major European source for customized agrochemical and fine chemical solutions.
