Production Launch
Evonik plans to launch a new generation of PVC plasticizers, including a phthalate-free variant. Production of the phthalate-free plasticizer 1,2-Cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid diisononyl ester is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2013, with an annual capacity of 40,000 metric tons. The production facilities are being constructed at the Marl Chemical Park, with a total investment in the double-digit million Euro range.
