Norwegian company Blastr Green Steel plans to establish a green steel plant with an integrated hydrogen production facility in Inkoo, Finland. The four-billion-euro investment is expected to create up to 1,200 direct jobs and aims to cut CO₂ emissions by 95%. The plant will produce two and a half million tons of high-quality hot and cold-rolled green steel annually. Finland was chosen as the location due to its low-carbon target, supportive operating conditions, clean power access, and efficient logistics. The project is among the largest industrial investments planned in Finland and will contribute to the green transition in Europe.
