Project Overview

Lhyfe, a pioneer in green hydrogen production, has partnered with Elyse Energy, a producer of low-carbon molecules, to develop e-methanol production from green hydrogen at the Nantes Saint-Nazaire port. This initiative aims to decarbonize maritime transport.

Call for Interest

In November 2023, Lhyfe was selected as the winner of a call for expression of interest launched by the Nantes Saint-Nazaire port authority. The goal is to establish an industrial green hydrogen production and distribution operation at the Montoir-de-Bretagne site.

Feasibility Study

The partners have signed an exclusive agreement to conduct a technical, economic, financial, and regulatory feasibility study for the e-methanol production project. This is the first collaboration of this kind for both companies.

Next Steps

The project's implementation will depend on the study's conclusions, the granting of operating licenses and building permits, and financial investment decisions. A presentation of the project is scheduled for September 2024.
