New Potassium Carbonate Plant

Vynova announced the construction of a new state-of-the-art production plant for liquid potassium carbonate (K2CO3) at its site in Tessenderlo, Belgium. This new facility will replace the existing plant and is designed to support Vynova’s growth in the potassium derivatives market.

Investment and Timeline

The project represents an investment of 4 million euros. Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2021, with the plant expected to be operational by mid-2022.

Compliance and Capacity

The new plant will be the largest of its kind in Europe and will be fully HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) compliant. This compliance ensures the production of high-quality potassium carbonate suitable for demanding applications in the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals industries.

Applications of Potassium Carbonate

Potassium carbonate, also known as potash carbonate, is used in various industries. It is utilized in fertilizers and agrochemicals, food processing (such as fruit processing, chocolate, and wine production), and the manufacturing of high-quality glass.
