Project Initiation and Early Investments
NUREL began its bioplastics industrial project in 2015, following an ambitious R&D program initiated in 2010. The initial investment focused on advanced and unique technology to establish the first production facilities.
Expansion in 2018
In response to widespread market acceptance in Europe and overseas, NUREL installed a second biopolymer production plant in 2018. This expansion increased production volume and completed the INZEA product range.
Current Expansion
To meet strong demand in Latin American markets, NUREL has recently installed a third production plant. This new facility boosts the company's production capacity to 26,000 tons per year, making it one of the largest biopolymer production sites in Europe.
Future Plans
These investments are part of a broader, more ambitious investment plan by the SAMCA Group, aimed at strengthening NUREL's biopolymers division.
