Neftekhim Ltd. has initiated the start-up of a granulation unit at its Pavlodar complex in Kazakhstan. This development was marked by a nationwide teleconference, where N. Nazarbayev, the head of state, launched the production of the powder polypropylene granulation unit.

The project is valued at 6 billion tenge (approximately €15 million). The new unit is expected to produce 47.8 thousand tons of granulated polypropylene annually. This significant production capacity will cater to both domestic and international markets.
Market Distribution
Of the total production, 60% is intended for the domestic market, ensuring a steady supply of granulated polypropylene within Kazakhstan. The remaining 40% will be exported to key international markets, including Russia, China, and Turkey.
Technological Collaboration
The equipment and technologies for the granulation unit were supplied by the German company Leistritz, highlighting the international collaboration involved in this project.
