New Plant and Production Capacity
Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. has introduced Adoflex® and Oxovilen®, produced at a new multifunctional plant for non-phthalate specialty esters with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year. This plant is part of the Specialty Esters Project (SEP) and includes a modern Application and Development Laboratory launched in 2018.
Adoflex® Applications
Adoflex® is high-quality bis(2-ethylhexyl)adipate, known for its excellent plasticizing properties, especially in low-temperature applications. It is recommended for food contact materials, such as PVC food films, and is also used in the production of garden hoses, cables, and coated fabrics. Additionally, Adoflex® serves as a solvent in the cosmetics industry, plasticizes nitrocellulose and synthetic rubber, and is used in varnish production.
Oxovilen® Applications
Oxovilen® is high-quality di(n-butyl)terephthalate, characterized by fast fusing properties, low migration, and the ability to provide higher flexibility to finished products. It is applied in PVC flooring as a functional plasticizer, as well as in adhesives, sealants, and various inks.
Regulatory Compliance
Both Adoflex® and Oxovilen® comply with the requirements of the REACH regulation. They are not subject to restrictions or authorization and are not classified under the CLP regulation due to their safe profiles.
