Plant Overview
Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY has opened a new granulated fertilizer plant in Puławy, Poland. The facility includes modern packing and seasoning facilities, with the first production line commissioned in July 2020. The plant has now started continuous production, marking the completion of one of Poland's largest fertilizer projects in recent years.
Production and Capacity
The plant's daily production capacity is up to 820,000 tonnes per year. It features two production lines: a granulated ammonium nitrate line (AN - 32% N) with a daily capacity of 1,200 tonnes, and a calcium ammonium nitrate line (CAN - 27% N) with a daily capacity of 1,400 tonnes. The total budget for the project is PLN 430 million, with the second production line set to launch in the first half of next year.
Product Certification and Market
All products from the new facility, including Pulan Macro, Pulmix, and Saletrzak27N, have received the necessary certificates, including for resistance to detonation. These products can be transported and sold both domestically and internationally. The first deliveries are expected to reach customers by the end of this month.
Infrastructure and Logistics
The project also involved constructing infrastructure and logistics facilities for unloading and processing raw materials, as well as a warehouse for finished products and a packing plant. The packing plant is equipped with fully automated machines for packing fertilizers into flexible containers (big bags), with a capacity of about 180 tonnes per hour (approximately 4,300 tonnes/day).
