Ercros and Unions Finalize Redundancy Plan for Flix Factory

Redundancy Plan Agreement

The management and union representatives of Ercros have signed the final agreement on the redundancy plan for the Flix factory. The cessation of activity at the dicalcium phosphate plant is scheduled for January 1, 2023.

Impact on Workforce

The redundancy plan will affect 39 of the 48 employees currently working at the Flix factory. The remaining nine employees will continue to work at the factory, focusing on surveillance, maintenance, and dismantling tasks.

Employee Transition Measures

The plan includes various measures to support affected employees, such as transfer relocations to other Ercros work centers, exchanges with employees from other centers, partial retirements, income plans, and compensated leaves.

Reason for Closure

The closure of the Flix plant is due to the termination of contracts for the supply of hydrochloric acid and maquila for the manufacture of dicalcium phosphate, effective December 31, 2022.
