Production Capacity Expansion
The Ercros factory in Cerdanyola has increased its production capacity of moulding compounds by 3,000 t/year, marking a 14% rise to reach a total of 25,000 t/year. This expansion is aimed at meeting growing demand and enhancing the company's market presence.
Applications and Export
The thermostable moulding compounds produced at the Cerdanyola facility are used in various sectors, including electrical appliances, sanitary accessories, cosmetics, and tableware. Notably, 85% of the production is exported to over 30 countries, with a focus on consolidating and expanding Ercros' presence in America, Europe, and Asia.
Quality and Competitiveness
The expansion project, developed by Ercros' R&D and engineering departments, has led to significant improvements in product quality. The Carbaicar HD quality has been applied to nearly all production, offering high benefits that enhance customer productivity. Additionally, the factory has increased its degree of digitization and automation to improve competitiveness.
