New Production Line

The Lada plant in Langreo, Spain, has added a fourth production line dedicated to producing imidacloprid, an active ingredient in the anti-parasitic drug Advantix. This drug targets fleas, ticks, and sand flies on pets, helping to prevent canine leishmaniasis.

Existing Production

The facility already manufactures acetylsalicylic acid, the raw material for Aspirin, along with butafosfan, a metabolic stimulant used in veterinary practices, and clotrimazole, a treatment for fungal infections. The new production line will leverage existing equipment to increase efficiency.

Production Increase

The addition of the new line is expected to boost the plant's output by six tonnes annually. This expansion will allow the facility to meet the growing demand for veterinary anti-parasitic treatments while continuing to supply acetylsalicylic acid to other company facilities.

Regulatory Compliance

The Lada plant has obtained all necessary permits to implement the new production line. This ensures that the facility complies with regulatory standards for manufacturing veterinary pharmaceuticals.
