Investment Overview
ARLANXEO is set to invest a mid double-digit million euro amount over the next three years to modernize its production sites in Triunfo, Brazil, and La Wantzenau, France. This investment aims to support the company's growth and enhance its high-performance rubber grades.
La Wantzenau, France
The La Wantzenau site, the world's largest nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) facility, will undergo modernization. This site produces NBR rubber under the Perbunan®, Krynac®, and Baymod® N brands, used in automotive, construction, and oil and gas sectors. The upgrade will support the production of high-quality NBR rubbers and the company's Therban® (HNBR) specialty products.
Triunfo, Brazil
In Triunfo, ARLANXEO will make its polybutadiene rubber (PBR) production more flexible. Currently producing emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber (E-SBR) for car and truck tires, the site will also produce advanced PBR types Nd-BR and Li-BR by the second half of 2020. This upgrade addresses the growing demand for high-performance tires in Brazil.
Production Relocation
Part of the existing E-SBR production in Triunfo will be relocated to ARLANXEO's facility in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, where E-SBR is already produced. This move aims to improve economic efficiency.
