DuPont Expands Axtra PHY Phytase Line in Europe

At a glance
  • DuPont launched Axtra PHY 20000 TPT2 and Axtra PHY 25000 G in Europe.
  • Axtra PHY breaks down over 90% of dietary phytate at 1000 FTU in broilers.
  • Swine trials show up to 20% body weight gain in piglets and 62% phosphorus excretion reduction.
  • Optimized dosing is species, application, and diet specific to maximize ROI.

Product Launch

DuPont Industrial Biosciences has introduced two new products, Axtra® PHY 20000 TPT2 and Axtra® PHY 25000 G, to its phytase enzyme line in Europe. These additions make the fastest-acting phytase enzyme available in various formats for European animal producers.

Performance and Efficiency

Axtra® PHY is recognized for its rapid action and high efficacy. It starts working earlier in the digestive tract, breaking down phytate and its anti-nutrient effects, which allows for more complete nutrient absorption in animals. This process helps producers lower feed costs by enabling the release and digestion of beneficial nutrients naturally present in the feed.

Research and Results

Broiler trials have shown that Axtra® PHY at 1000 FTU can break down more than 90% of dietary phytate and reduce the feed conversion ratio by up to 10%. In swine, trials have demonstrated a body weight gain of up to 20% in piglets and a reduction in phosphorus excretion by 62%.

Optimized Dosing

DuPont emphasizes the importance of optimized dosing that is specific to species, application, and diet. Continuous investment in research and animal trials has provided the knowledge needed to offer customized recommendations for the application of Axtra® PHY. This approach prevents overuse of phytase, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing return on investment for producers.
