New Feedstock Storage Facility

A new feedstock storage facility has been established in the Industriepark Höchst to optimize production supplies for Kuraray Europe GmbH. This facility is crucial for the production of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) and its derivative, Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB), which are key products for the company.

Efficient Logistics

The feedstock required for PVA production will be delivered via inland vessels, leveraging the strategic location of Industriepark Höchst. The site benefits from excellent logistics, including proximity to Frankfurt airport, highway access, a connection to the Deutsche Bahn rail network, and its own river harbor with multiple inland shipping berths.

Infrastructure and Operations

Infraserv Logistics is responsible for the safe and professional handling of feedstock between supply vessels and storage tanks. The tank farm is connected to the production site through a network of pipelines. Infraserv Höchst installed the necessary filling equipment, laid the pipes, and constructed pipeline bridges. A total of 3,700 meters of pipelines transport the feedstock from the tanks to the production site.

Project Timeline

The construction of the tank farm was completed in just 11 months, and it became operational in July 2016. The project was executed smoothly, with effective on-site cooperation between Kuraray and its partners.
