Investment and Location

Applications of PVB Resin
PVB resin, derived from PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) resin, is used in various applications. It serves as a raw material for PVB Film (TROSIFOL), which is utilized as an interlayer in architectural glazing and laminated safety glass for automotive use. Additionally, the demand for TROSIFOL as an encapsulant in solar cell modules is growing. PVB resin is also employed as a binder in paint, printing ink, and ceramics.
Strategic Goals
The Kuraray Group aims to enhance its vinyl acetate and Poval-related businesses globally. This includes reinforcing the consistent production flow from PVA resin to PVB resin and film.
