Investment in Germany
DuPont Performance Materials is investing in Zytel® HTN PPA polymer capacity at its Uentrop facility in Hamm, Germany. This marks the first Zytel® HTN polymer production facility in Europe. Construction is already underway, with production expected to commence in the summer of 2016.
Meeting Global Demand
The expansion is driven by the growing global demand for Zytel® HTN in the automotive, electrical, and consumer electronics markets. The new facility will enhance local supply and support European customers more effectively.
Product Capabilities
Zytel® HTN PPA grades are known for retaining stiffness, strength, and mechanical properties even when exposed to high temperatures, chemicals, and moisture. This makes them ideal for automotive under-hood components, connectors, and bushings. In consumer electronics, Zytel® HTN enables the design of lighter and thinner products, such as cell phones and tablets.
Production and Quality
The Uentrop facility produces a wide range of polyamide polymers and compounded Zytel® resins for various industries, including automotive, electrical, industrial, and consumer markets. DuPont ensures high quality and product consistency by operating world-scale production assets and compounding sites globally.
