Investment and Facility Details
ChemCom Industries is investing €4.2 million in a new production facility in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. The facility will feature a continuous granulator to produce raw materials for high-performance fertilizers.
Strategic Plan and Partnerships
This investment is part of ChemCom's strategic plan, "Glance to the Future," which includes 13 projects aimed at ensuring the continuity and growth of its operations. The new facility will produce intermediates for the Swiss company Hauert HBG Dünger AG, developed in collaboration with a German technology partner.
Support and Subsidies
The Province of Groningen is supporting the project with a subsidy of over €800,000 from the Regional Investment Fund Groningen (RIG 2014). This financial support was a key factor in securing the partnership with Hauert.
Regulatory and Operational Aspects
Obtaining the necessary operating permits is crucial, and ChemCom is working closely with the Province of Groningen and its regional support group (ODG) to ensure a smooth application and approval process. The stringent regulations aim to ensure safety and minimize environmental impact.
Timeline and Employment
Production at the new facility is scheduled to begin in September. While the project will not create new jobs, it will help secure existing employment. ChemCom is also in discussions with local partners to provide logistics services.
