Expansion Project
Chemtura Organometallics GmbH, a subsidiary of Chemtura Corporation, has initiated the startup of its expanded AXION® MAO (methylaluminoxane) production at its Bergkamen, Germany facility. The additional manufacturing capacity became operational in July, as planned.
Supply Chain Enhancements
This expansion is part of Chemtura Organometallics’ strategy to enhance its global supply chain capabilities, ensuring a reliable supply for customers' high-growth engineered-polymer projects. The AXION® MAO production is fully backwards integrated with onsite trimethylaluminum (TMA) production, which is critical for the process.
Quality Assurance
Maintaining consistent and reliable quality is essential for the performance of MAO used as a co-catalyst in single-site catalyst technologies. The expanded production replicates Chemtura’s established engineering and process technology, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, tailor-made AXION® MAO grades as required by customer processes.
