Increased Production Capacity
Perstorp has doubled the production capacity of its Capa™ caprolactone plant in Warrington, England. This expansion addresses the growing global demand for caprolactones, which have been in short supply for several years.
New Production Stream
The new second Capa™ stream at the Warrington plant uses the same proprietary technology as the first, ensuring consistent high quality. Trial volumes have already been successfully produced, tested, and used in downstream products. Commercial production is expected to begin by September 1.
Applications and Benefits
Caprolactones are widely used in various applications, including resin modification, waterborne PUD coatings, cast elastomers, hot-melt adhesives, support material for top-quality shoes, and modern orthopedic brace supports. They offer improved process ability, lower VOC levels due to low viscosity, and are biodegradable.
Focus on Asian Market
