Expansion of Cork Manufacturing Plant
BASF is expanding the manufacturing plant for its LIX® product range at its Cork site in Ireland. The investment aims to increase production capacity, with operations scheduled to commence by the end of the first quarter of 2015.
Product Application
The LIX® product range consists of solvent extractants used in the hydrometallurgical extraction of copper from oxide ores. These reagents are particularly beneficial for mines facing challenging operating conditions.
Enhanced Technical Service
To improve customer support and technical service, BASF has recently established new technical laboratories in Johannesburg, South Africa; Shanghai, China; and Moscow, Russia. These labs aim to bring the company closer to its customers and enhance service quality.
