Investment and Expansion
Kao Chemicals GmbH in Germany has invested approximately 1.2 billion yen (US$ 11.8 million) to expand its production facilities for tertiary amines, derivatives of alcohol. The expansion has increased the production capacity by 14,000 tons annually.
Production Commencement
The newly expanded facility began commercial production in December, marking a significant milestone in Kao Chemicals' operational capabilities.
Meeting Rising Demand
The demand for tertiary amines, which are essential raw materials for hair conditioners and surfactants used in dishwashing detergents, is on the rise. Kao Chemicals aims to meet this growing demand through its expanded production capacity.

With the expansion in Germany, Kao Group's total production capacity for tertiary amines across its three production bases in Europe, the Philippines, and Japan has reached 50,000 tons, positioning it as one of the largest producers globally.
