About InnoEnergy

EIT InnoEnergy (commonly “InnoEnergy”) is a European innovation engine focused on accelerating the energy transition. Established as a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), it supports the development and industrial scale-up of sustainable energy technologies across Europe through investment, business acceleration, and ecosystem building.

InnoEnergy works across areas central to the chemical and process industries, including green hydrogen and its derivatives, sustainable aviation fuels and other Power-to-X pathways, batteries and battery materials, energy storage, electrification, and carbon management. It convenes industry, finance, and policymakers to build integrated value chains—most notably through initiatives such as the European Battery Alliance—aimed at de-risking projects, securing supply chains, and accelerating commercialization. Its activities span early-stage innovation to large industrial projects, helping bring low-carbon technologies to market at scale.
