ADEME

About ADEME

ADEME (Agence de la Transition Écologique) is France’s public agency dedicated to driving the ecological and energy transition. It supports public policy and industry through funding, technical expertise, and data across areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate mitigation, circular economy, waste management, air quality, and pollution control.

For the chemical sector, ADEME backs research, pilot, and industrial-scale projects that reduce greenhouse gases and pollutant emissions, improve energy performance, and advance solutions such as low‑carbon heat, electrification, hydrogen, carbon capture, recycling, and eco‑design. The agency runs competitive calls for projects, provides grants and other financial instruments, offers life‑cycle assessment tools and methodologies, and disseminates best practices. Working with companies, local authorities, and research organizations, ADEME helps accelerate sustainable industrial transformation and enhance environmental performance across French manufacturing, including chemicals.
