Expansion Plans
Ultra Gas & Energy Ltd (UGEL) is expanding its LNG network to 100 retail outlets across India, backed by a ₹900 crore investment. The expansion targets key states including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.
Current Operations
UGEL currently operates six LNG refuelling stations located in Bhilwara, Anand, Chakan-Pune, Jalna, Toranagallu, and Vallam. These stations are strategically placed along major freight corridors to facilitate access to cleaner fuel in industrial and logistics hubs.
Environmental Impact
Each UGEL station has a scalable capacity of 50 tonnes, capable of refuelling up to 600 LNG trucks per month. This capacity allows each station to reduce up to 66,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, contributing to a collective reduction of 1 million tonnes of CO₂.
Partnerships
To ensure a consistent fuel supply and smooth scalability, UGEL has partnered with major LNG suppliers including IOCL, GAIL, and HPCL. These partnerships provide access to all major LNG terminals in India, supporting UGEL's operational reliability.
Future-Ready Infrastructure
UGEL's retail outlets are equipped with infrastructure to support electric vehicle (EV) charging, aligning with the company's vision for multi-fuel, low-emission mobility solutions. This infrastructure supports the transition of commercial fleets from high-emission fuels to cleaner alternatives like LNG and electricity.
