TECNIMONT (MAIRE) hosts Local Value Shared Growth Forum in Kazakhstan

Event
TECNIMONT and Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Corporation (SSEC) held the Local Value Shared Growth Forum in Atyrau, sponsored by SILLENO, drawing roughly 700 participants and more than 500 local companies plus representatives from local authorities and the organising firms.
Project focus
The forum concentrated on engaging Kazakh businesses for major regional projects, notably the Silleno Petrochemical Complex, with the stated aim of enhancing Kazakhstan’s industrial capabilities and supporting sustainable development.
Procurement and skills measures
Programme elements included targeted workshops, seminars and networking sessions, introduction of MAIRE’s global procurement platform, and guidance on vendor registration and qualification to facilitate supplier participation in current Kazakh projects.
Workforce development
Organisers launched a four-year Development Plan for 60 future engineers drawn from students and recent graduates at Kazakh universities; the programme combines technical training and soft-skills development and offers top performers employment opportunities at TECNIMONT’s local branch and other MAIRE offices.
