Axens

About Axens

Axens is a French technology and services company serving the global chemicals and energy sectors. A subsidiary of IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), it designs and licenses process technologies and supplies catalysts, adsorbents, equipment, and related digital and field services for the production of fuels and petrochemical intermediates. Headquartered in France, the company supports projects from engineering through start-up and ongoing performance optimization.

Axens’ portfolio spans hydroprocessing, reforming and isomerization; petrochemical routes to olefins and aromatics; gas processing and sulfur management; and purification and separation solutions. The company also develops technologies that support the energy transition, including renewable and low‑carbon fuels (such as renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel), biomass- and waste-to-chemicals pathways, plastics recycling, hydrogen production, and carbon management. Drawing on R&D collaboration with IFPEN and extensive industrial references, Axens works with refiners, chemical producers, and midstream operators to improve plant efficiency, product quality, and environmental performance.
